In Brooklyn, the best-known bakeries and bagel shops have lines on weekend mornings, so arrive early or order ahead where the shop offers it. Brooklyn is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Brooklyn peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. we did the chocolate and coffee cupping class and it was super well organized and had some great flavors. they have some much chocolate to taste upon entering and you can purchase chocolate after the experience. we went through 3 pairings and it’s wild how much the chocolate is enhanced by the coffee and vice versa. would love to come back for the full chocolate making class and the wine and chocolate one. the chocolate factory also smells amazing. 10/10.

Attended the most fabulous class on chocolate making...Bean to Bar! From choosing the beans, winnowing them, grinding beans and slowly turning them into chocolate bars by adding cane sugar and liquified cocoa butter was amazing! Highly recommend for the true chocolate lover who is interested in the science behind the process!

Do not order from Raaka if you are looking for any type of customer service if an issue arises. Ordered a 3 month subscription (3 bars each month/shipment). I received the 1st shipment on 12/2/2025; this shipment arrived in a sealed padded envelope with a sealed box inside. The 2nd shipment arrived on 12/22/2025. This shipment was received as an unsealed box (no sealed padded envelope like the first shipment). This seemed rather unsafe as the contents of the package are food items. I contacted Raaka support to report the issue; did not receive a response. After a week or so of not receiving a response I tried contacting them again; still no response. The 3rd shipment arrived, again in an unsealed box. This package was also chewed open, likely by a rodent (see pictureS). I contacted their support again and again received no response. You’d think for $84 they would ship their items in safe packaging and respond to customer inquiries.

5 Stars! Raaka is a chocolate lover’s dream come true! I got to make my own chocolate from scratch, and it was such a fun, hands-on, and educational experience. From roasting the beans to pouring my own custom bars, every step gave me a deeper appreciation for the craft. The staff was welcoming, passionate, and made the process easy to follow. I walked out with delicious, handmade chocolate and unforgettable memories. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a sweet and unique adventure!
